Diy just crack an egg3/16/2024 I tried baking instead to at least preserve my filling, but despite sufficient heat and time, the wraps stayed un-crisp, pasty white, and rubbery. Frying was out of the question since the oil would just go straight into the egg-roll and the filling was falling out. Then, these wrappers break and split when trying to roll them. I added more than an extra 100ml of water to get the batter even close to thin enough to work like the description. Like other reviewers I too struggled to get the batter thin enough, a crepe would have been preferable to what I was able to produce. This method of cooking the wrap in a pan seemed odd but I wanted to try it and since I have had lots of experience making egg-rolls I felt it was worth a try. Perhaps my life long experience with making egg-rolls from store-bought wraps has been completely ""nontraditional", but these wraps will make nothing like egg rolls you see in restaurants, kitchens, or even the frozen food section at Walmart.
